HHRT Find Your Path

The Hudson River Valley is home to many spectacular RiverWalks, paths and trails.  Many paths are set directly along the banks of the Hudson River, with others located in nearby parks. Each serves as a great introduction to its host communities in Westchester and Rockland Counties.

The Hudson Valley region has been an inspiration to artists, writers and visitors for centuries, from the 19th century “Hudson River School,” of painters, and Washington Irving’s tale of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” to more recent writers such as T.C. Boyle (World’s End) and artists currently on view at the David Rockefeller Center in Pocantico Hills. Today – visitors and local residents can find inspiration, recreation and moments of quiet reflection along these paths and trails of the Historic Hudson River Towns.

Historic Hudson River Towns presents this guide to walking, biking and hiking trails in each of our 17 member communities, as well as the Shared Use Path of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.  We're highlighting one path per community, and where applicable - adding information about special events on the path in fall, 2023.

So, "Find Your Path!"  Walking, hiking and biking these trails is a heart-healthy activity - but these inspiring vistas are good for the soul, as well. When you've completed a path, we recommend you go on to explore the downtowns of each respective community.
