To request dinner reservations following the<br \/>\nperformance, call 845-359-6700 or go to roostinsparkill.com<br \/>\nReservation<br \/>\nABOUT THE ARTISTS<br \/>\nOxana Mikhailoff<br \/>\nOxana Mikhailoff was hailed in a recent review by Jon Sobel as \u201ca titan of<br \/>\nthe Romantic Piano Literature.\u201d Of her playing, Vladimir Feltsman said<br \/>\n\u201c\u2026(Oxana Mikhailoff) is a mature and accomplished musician\u2026Her playing has<br \/>\ncharacter, imagination, and is poetic. She has a strong personality and<br \/>\nstage presence.\u201d<br \/>\nOxana has performed throughout Russia and Europe as a recitalist, concert<br \/>\nsoloist and chamber musician. Her United States debut took place at<br \/>\nCarnegie Hall in 1999. She later returned to Carnegie Hall to play an<br \/>\nall-Chopin recital on the 150th anniversary of the composer\u2019s death.<br \/>\nOxana maintains an active teaching studio in Westchester County less than<br \/>\none-half hour from New York City. Along with Vassily Primakov, Oxana is<br \/>\nco-Artistic Director of the Sparkill Concert Series and the Midland Music<br \/>\nSeries in Bronxville, NY.<br \/>\nVassily Primakov<br \/>\nIn recent years, Vassily Primakovhas been hailed as a pianist of world<br \/>\nclass importance. In 1999, as a teen-aged prizewinner of the Cleveland<br \/>\nInternational Piano Competition, Primakov was praised by Donald Rosenberg<br \/>\nof the Cleveland Plain Dealer: \u201cHow many pianists can make a line sing as<br \/>\nthe Moscow native did on this occasion? Every poignant phrase took ethereal<br \/>\nwing. Elsewhere the music soared with all of the turbulence and poetic<br \/>\nvibrancy it possesses. We will be hearing much from this remarkable<br \/>\nmusician.\u201d<br \/>\nVassily Primakov has released numerous recordings for Bridge Records that<br \/>\ninclude works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn,<br \/>\nBrahms, Chopin, Dvorak, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff,<br \/>\nPhilip Glass, Arlene Sierra and Poul Ruders.<br \/>\nIn 2011, Mr. Primakov, along with Natalia Lavrova established a new and<br \/>\nvibrant record company, L.P. Classics, Inc. Their first release was Anton<br \/>\nArensky: Four Suites for Two Pianos.
