Presented by Mz. Valentine, February\u2019s Latin<br \/>\nLounge will showcase the romantic music of Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet with<br \/>\nguest dancers Mariana Parma and Leonardo Sardella.<br \/>\nLatin GRAMMY Award winner bassist and composer Pedro Giraudo is among the<br \/>\nmost compelling tango artists today. After two decades performing with the<br \/>\nmost important interpreters of tango, Pedro Giraudo debuted his own Tango<br \/>\nOrchestra at Lincoln Center\u2019s Midsummer Night Swing in July 2015 and since<br \/>\nthen has become an active cultural ambassador of this beautiful and<br \/>\npassionate music of his native Argentina.<br \/>\nIn 2018 his album \u2018Vigor Tanguero\u2018 won a Latin GRAMMY award for \u2018Best Tango<br \/>\nAlbum\u2019. In 2014 Ruben Blades\u2019 CD \u201cTangos\u201d on which he recorded bass won two<br \/>\nGrammys Awards (Best Tango Album &amp; Best Latin Pop). Pedro Giraudo has<br \/>\ncollaborated with Pablo Ziegler, Paquito D\u2019Rivera, and Dizzy Gillespie\u2019s<br \/>\nprot\u00e9g\u00e9 William Cepeda, as well as \u2018Tango meets Jazz\u2019 guests: Branford<br \/>\nMarsalis, Kenny Garrett, Regina Carter, Nestor Torres, Miguel Zenon among<br \/>\nmany others. Pedro Giraudo has also collaborated as a performer and<br \/>\narranger for one of New York\u2019s most respected institutions: The New York<br \/>\nPhilharmonic. He has also been the musical director of Tango for All\u2019s<br \/>\n\u2018Blind\u2019, Mariela Franganillo Company\u2019s \u201cTango Connection\u201d and \u201cTango<br \/>\nRecuerdo\u201d and performed with U.S.\u2019s most prominent tango ensembles<br \/>\nincluding \u2018Forever Tango\u2019, Hector Del Curto\u2019s \u2018Eternal Tango\u2019 and Daniel<br \/>\nBinelli\u2019s \u2018Tango Metropolis\u2019. He has participated in numerous jazz and<br \/>\nmusic festivals throughout the North America, Europe, Latin America, the<br \/>\nCaribbean and Asia, and performed in venues such as The Blue Note (Japan &amp;<br \/>\nUSA), Birdland (Austria), London\u2019s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Jazz Festival<br \/>\nRoyale in Thailand, Kennedy Center (Washington DC), Iridium, Jazz Standard,<br \/>\nBlue Note, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall (NYC).<br \/>\n********<br \/>\nWe have two dinner seatings upstairs with the concert:<br \/>\nDoors open at 5pm first come first served<br \/>\n6pm (arrive by 5:30) and 8pm (arrive by 7:30)<br \/>\nPlease arrive promptly. Seating is first come first served. Roost will be<br \/>\noffering a delicious seasonal menu with the concert ($25 minimum per person<br \/>\nat tables)<br \/>\nWe recommend purchasing tickets at least 48 hours in advance.<br \/>\nEntrance to the concert is through the door on the LEFT<br \/>\nNOTE: Concerts take place on the second floor.
