\nThe David Kikoski Trio with Joe Martin on bass, Jimmy Macbride on drums and
\nDavid Kikoski on piano. David Kikoski is a pianist, composer, and arranger
\nsteeped in the great tradition of Jazz.

\nKikoski won a 2011 Grammy Award with the Mingus Big Band for the \u201cBest Live
\nJazz Ensemble Album\u201d for Live at the Jazz Standard. He also had a Grammy
\nnomination with Roy Haynes for the album, \u201cBirds of a Feather: A tribute to
\nCharlie Parker,\u201d in 2001.
\nA highly regarded jazz pianist, Dave Kikoski, emerged in New York jazz
\nscene in 1980s and quickly established himself as a go-to performer working
\nwith top players like Roy Haynes, Bob Berg, Randy Brecker, and many others.
\nKikoski is known for his adept post-bop style and spontaneous swinging
\nperformances.
\nAs a leader, Kikoski has released 20 albums, including \u201cPresage\u201d with Eddie
\nGomez and Al Foster (1989), \u201cBeatle Jazz\u201d featuring Michael Brecker, John
\nScofield, and Mike Stern (2007), and \u201cConsequences\u201d featuring Jeff \u201cTain\u201d
\nWatts and Christian McBride (2015).
\nAs an invaluable go-to sideman, Kikoski recorded and toured with luminaries
\nsuch as Roy Haynes, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Ravi Coltrane, Chris
\nPotter, Dave Holland, Roy Hargrove, Donny McCaslin, Mike Stern, Chick
\nCorea, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Toots Thielemans, Tom Harrell, Marcus Miller, Pat
\nMartino, Jack Dejohnette, Billy Hart, and many others. He is also a
\nlongtime member of the Mingus Big Band, the co-leader of BeatleJazz, and a
\nmember of Opus Five.

\nWe have two dinner seatings upstairs with the concert:
\nDoors open at 5pm first come first served
\n6pm (arrive by 5:30) and 8pm (arrive by 7:30)
\nPlease arrive promptly. Seating is first come first served. Roost will be
\noffering a delicious seasonal menu with the concert ($25 minimum per person
\nat tables)
\nWe recommend purchasing tickets at least 48 hours in advance.
\nEntrance to the concert is through the door on the LEFT
\nNOTE: Concerts take place on the second floor. Roost and Union Arts Center
\nare located in a one-hundred-year-old restored firehouse without an
\nelevator.
