\nJoin Rockland Center for the Arts for a concert with
\ninternationally-acclaimed musician and songwriter, Toby Walker, on
\nSaturday, February 25th at 7:30 pm.
\nA virtuoso performer of roots music, he has been hailed as a specialist of
\nfingerstyle guitar. He has toured both the US, and Europe to thunderous
\naccolades. Blending the blues, ragtime, country, bluegrass, old-time jazz
\nand rock, Walker\u2019s style is his own. His unique musicianship has earned him
\nnumerous awards, including being the 1st place recipient of the
\nInternational Blues Challenge Award\u2014Solo Division given out by the Blues
\nFoundation in Memphis, TN. He has taught at Carnegie Hall and at the
\nacclaimed Fur Peace Ranch guitar camp, owned by Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna
\nand Jefferson Airplane fame.
\nWalker apprenticed and learned from legendary masters like R.L. Brunside
\nand \u2018Son\u2019 Thomas, Jack Owens and Bud Spires. His command of a guitar has
\nearned him a place among the elite acoustic guitar players around the
\nglobe. Walker\u2019s well versed styles can soothe with delicate finger-picked
\npatterns of low and slow to lightning-fast runs up and down the neck,
\nrivaling the fireworks that his electric counterparts generate. Walker can
\ndo it all on a six-string.

\nhe gets them with his wonderful stories. True entertainers have an engaging
\nspirit that puts a smile on your face. Arlo Guthrie has it. David Bromberg
