The first concert of the new year, \u201cLift Every Voice,\u201d is a unique program of music for wind band highlighting new compositions by American composers.<br \/>\nContinuing the tradition of featuring guest artists, WSW welcomes soloists\u00a0 JoAnn Lamolino, trumpet, and Matt Bilyk, trombone, performing Fandango, by Joseph Turrin. Guest conductor David Blumental, artistic director of the Grand Street Community Band in Brooklyn, joins the group to conduct Stillwater by Kelijah Dunton. For the first time since the onset of the pandemic, the apprentice conducting program returns with Jessica Stein-Natale conducting Pacifica, by Randall D. Standridge.<br \/>\nCelebrating its 35th anniversary, WSW highlights another milestone with its programming for the concert: the 50th anniversary of the publication of Sketches on a Tudor Psalm, by Fisher Tull.
