Paramount Hudson Valley Arts and the Paramount Theater in Peekskill present a FREE staged reading of SIGHTINGS,\u00a0a new play about three teens swept up in a chilling, real-life Hudson Valley mystery.<\/p>\n
On an eerily quiet night in a park along the Hudson River, three teenagers from very different worlds get the shock of their lives when they witness something they can\u2019t explain. Now bound together by this unsettling mystery, the teens must decide what to do. A secret pact, a fierce struggle, and a startling betrayal could jeopardize each teen\u2019s hopes for the future.<\/p>\n
SIGHTINGS\u00a0is a suspenseful coming-of-age play about seeing and being seen, set against a wave of social\u00a0change and unexplained phenomena that swept through the Hudson Valley in the 1980s. Written by local playwright\u00a0Mona\u00a0Z. Smith\u00a0and directed by\u00a0Traci Burwitz Mariano,\u00a0SIGHTINGS\u00a0was commissioned by Paramount Hudson Valley Arts, which operates the Paramount Theater in Peekskill, NY.\u00a0This project\u00a0is made possible by the NY State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and NY State Legislature.<\/p>\n
