Currently celebrating its 26th<\/sup> Season<\/strong> and past recipient of the ArtsWestchester Organization of the Year Award, Taconic Opera <\/strong>invites you to enjoy two piano concertos in one concert: \u00a0Maurice<\/strong> Ravel’s <\/strong>famous Piano Concerto in G Major,<\/em><\/strong> written after the composer had been exposed to jazz on a US visit, and the world premiere of Dan Montez’s Piano Concerto in C Minor<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both pieces will be performed by rising star, Kessa Mefford<\/strong>, who recently made her debut at Carnegie Hall with an All-Ravel concert. Ms. Mefford, an award-winning pianist who specializes in the works of the composer, will perform both concertos on a concert grand, along with the full Taconic Opera Orchestra conducted by the company\u2019s Musical Director, Jun Nakabayashi.<\/p>\n
