The concept is being revived among those who care about Sing Sing&#8217;s unique position in the history of the American penal system and who see the museum as a lens through which to view contemporary criminal justice issues. Others are interested in development of the museum because of its tremendous national and international potential as a significant tourist attraction for New York&#8217;s Hudson Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Historic Hudson River Towns has contributed staff time and expertise to the development of the Sing Sing Prison Museum. We think it is a truly American story that needs to be told and will be of great economic benefit to our member communities, as well as to the entire Hudson Valley region.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Sing Sing Prison Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Locally, a great deal of work was accomplished on the project some years ago.
