Join Sherlock Holmes (Tal Aviezer) and Dr. Watson (Michael Muldoon) at the inimitable Lyndhurst Mansion\, where they encounter the mysterious Red-Headed League. The famous detectives confront their strangest and most exciting adventure yet. A classic mystery adapted from one of the original Arthur Conan Doyle adventures.\nThe Adventure of the Red-Headed League is directed by Melinda O’Brien and features the talents of Scott Faubel\, Elizabeth Mialaret\, Eric Novak\, Melinda O’Brien\, Larry Reina\, Emmy Schwartz\, Derek Tarson\, and Nan Weiss.\nPerformances will take place at the Lyndhurst Carriage House & Welcome Center and in the Parlor of Lyndhurst Mansion from November 4 through December 4\, 2022. Performances are 70 minutes long\, with check-in\, the experience is 90 minutes.

SUMMARY:Edward Hopper's Hudson River Boyhood and Emerging Artistic Vision
DESCRIPTION:Curated by Carole Perry and Kathleen Motes Bennewitz\, with Lynne Z. Bassett\nThis exhibition investigates how the artistic vision of Edward Hopper (1882-1967) coalesced during his youth in Nyack until he moved away in 1908\, at age 26\, to pursue his career in New York City. It features selections of the artist’s early drawings and sketches on loan from the Whitney Museum of American Art\, private collections and the Arthayer R. Sanborn Hopper Collection Trust\, as well as school notebooks\, artmaking materials\, and costumes\, memorabilia\, and artworks by Hopper and family members from the Edward Hopper House Museum’s collection and its Sanborn-Hopper Family Archive. In 2022 the site will be open for guided tours Saturday-Sunday from May 21-October 2; and Wednesday-Monday between October 5-November 13. There are three distinct Kykuit tours available:\nClassic Tour: Great for first-time visitors. Your visit will include the main floor of the house\, art galleries\, Inner Garden\, golf room\, and Coach Barn. The tour is 2 1/4 hours\, including the shuttle bus ride. $38-$40.\nGrand Tour:  Includes everything in the Classic Tour\, plus extra time in the gardens and art galleries\, as well as a visit to the second floor of the home. The tour is 3 hours\, including the shuttle bus ride. $60.\nSelected Highlights Tour: This tour includes the main floor of the house\, Inner Garden\, and West Terrace.
