DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the Tarrytown Music Hall\, known for its acoustical excellence. \n  \nCurrently celebrating its 28th Season and past recipient of the ArtsWestchester Organization of the Year Award\, Taconic Opera invites you to enjoy two piano concertos in one concert: Maurice Ravel’s incomparable Concerto for Left Hand in D Major\, and the world premiere of Dan Montez’s Piano Concerto #2 in D Minor. \n  \nBoth pieces will be performed on a concert grand by rising star\, Kessa Mefford\, along with the full Taconic Opera Orchestra conducted by the company’s Musical Director\, Jun Nakabayashi. On display throughout the house will be a delightful collection of antique Centennial souvenirs & ephemera. This was a time of great entrepreneurial innovation\, design and manufacturing. The Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia was a magnificent display or wares by the finest manufacturers of the era. \nVisitors will enjoy the ornate interior of The Octagon House\, which is decorated with antique lighting\, furniture\, & objects – many of which appeared at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition.
