SUMMARY:Lady in White Immersive Tour
DESCRIPTION:Step into a realm where haunted history and storytelling intertwine\, and be immersed in a ghost story unique to the Octagon House. As you traverse its storied halls\, you’ll find yourself drawn into the poignant tale of the Lady in White\, who lost her love when their steamboat went down on the Hudson River. Her spirit lingers still\, waiting along its shores. This immersive experience follows the Lady in White and her devoted mother\, still searching\, unaware of what has become of her daughter. \nInspired by the 1956 ghost story written by Carl Carmer\, the American author who called this house home for thirty years. \nAt the conclusion of the tour\, visitors are invited to experience Remember You Must Die\, a curated exhibition from the Memento Mori collection of Ryan Matthew Cohn featuring objects ranging from ancient artifacts to contemporary works and examining the ways past generations confronted mortality through art\, ritual\, memory\, and spirituality. \nAges 12 and up only\, please.
