DESCRIPTION:Hudson Chorale Concert at Maryknoll – Händel’s Messiah (Part I)\, Margaret Bonds’ Ballad of the Brown King and Mendelssohn’s Behold a Star from Jacob Shining \nWe are delighted to be returning for the holiday season with two matinee concerts to be held December 9th and 10th\, both at 3:00 PM at the Chapel at Maryknoll\, 55 Ryder Rd\, Ossining\, NY 10545. \nOur program will include the “Christmas portion” of Handel’s beloved Messiah as well as a rarely performed gem from the mid-20th century\, The Ballad of the Brown King\, by Margaret Bonds. A special treat will be Mendelssohn’s anthem Behold a Star from Jacob Shining. \nHudson Chorale\, under the baton of Artistic Director David Baranowski\, will perform with a 15 piece chamber orchestra and soloists including Fernando Watts\, Baritone and La Toya Lewis\, Soprano. \nTickets can be purchased for $30 each from members of the Hudson Chorale\, or through https://events.humanitix.com/hudson-chorale-holiday-season-concert \nFor further information\, please visit www.HudsonChorale.org or email us at info@hudsonchorale.org \nHudson Chorale is grateful to the New York State Council on the Arts\, the Westchester Community Foundation\, and Arts Westchester which awarded us funds to support our work and community outreach this year.
