Music ranging widely from romanticism to modernism to wild romps that embraces the sounds of vibrant folk songs\, British fifes\, and languid ballads. The concert features music from a trio of Pulitzer Prize winners (Aaron Copland\, Joan Tower\, and Samuel Barber)\, Old and New World masters (Charles Tomlinson Griffes and Pierre Jalbert) and one genuine\, undefinable maverick (Percy Grainger).
