DESCRIPTION:Don your most daring costume and join us for Nyack Chamber of Commerce‘s frighteningly fun 33rd Annual Halloween Parade on October 29\, 2022! (Rain Date: October 30).\nPlease pre-register for our Costume and Float Contests by October 28 at midnight. All contestants must check in with the judges in Memorial Park\, starting at 3pm. Parade steps off at 5:30pm\, and winners will be announced directly following the parade in the Main Street municipal parking lot.\n \nNew this year – Dress your pets in their most daring or darling costumes\, and enter them in our first-ever Pet Costume Contest\, which will be held on October 29 at noon in Memorial Park.\nSince we don’t want our scaly\, furry\, or feathered friends to get spooked by the parade crowd\, the Pet Costume Contest will be held as a separate event from the traditional costume and float categories.\nJudging for pets begins at 12pm in Nyack Memorial Park\, and awards will be distributed at 1pm. DESCRIPTION:Working with our partners at the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society we are pleased to offer lighthouse tours. \nOur lighthouse tours are an opportunity to learn about the important role that the Hudson River played in the development of the upper Hudson River towns and the role that the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse plays in the safe navigation of river transportation. \nMore Information :  \n– For safety reasons\, we ask that visitors wear sturdy shoes (not flip flops or high heels) \n– Picnic tables are available if you wish to bring a lunch. There are public restrooms in Henry Hudson Riverfront Park. A composting toilet is available at the lighthouse. \n– Souvenirs are available. (Cash\, check preferred.) ATM at nearby Amtrak station in Hudson.
