DESCRIPTION:The Old Mill Singers choral group\, directed by Nell Macdonald\, “wraps up” their 50th anniversary year with their holiday grand finale of “Holiday Treats With Beats” on Saturday\, December 2nd at 7 PM and Sunday December 3rd at 3 PM at the Clear View School in Briarcliff Manor.\nAll will be delighted with old traditional holiday favorites\, as well as very current festive selections. And…back\, by popular demand\, is our adorable and talented Kid’s Chorus. Also\, rumor has it\, there may be a special visitor from the North Pole “swinging and singing” with The Old Mill Singers! Watch out for reindeer crossings on Route 9!\nLots of fun\, laughter\, treats/refreshments\, raffles and\, of course\, songs will “deck the hall”! Curtain Up! Light the Holiday Lights! Don’t miss this great annual holiday event!!\nThe Old Mill Singers are men and women who hail from throughout Westchester County who perform at local nursing homes and community events. New members are always welcome. Auditions are not required. DESCRIPTION:Hudson Chorale Concert at Maryknoll – Händel’s Messiah (Part I)\, Margaret Bonds’ Ballad of the Brown King and Mendelssohn’s Behold a Star from Jacob Shining \nWe are delighted to be returning for the holiday season with two matinee concerts to be held December 9th and 10th\, both at 3:00 PM at the Chapel at Maryknoll\, 55 Ryder Rd\, Ossining\, NY 10545. \nOur program will include the “Christmas portion” of Handel’s beloved Messiah as well as a rarely performed gem from the mid-20th century\, The Ballad of the Brown King\, by Margaret Bonds. A special treat will be Mendelssohn’s anthem Behold a Star from Jacob Shining. \nHudson Chorale\, under the baton of Artistic Director David Baranowski\, will perform with a 15 piece chamber orchestra and soloists including Fernando Watts\, Baritone and La Toya Lewis\, Soprano. \nTickets can be purchased for $30 each from members of the Hudson Chorale\, or through https://events.humanitix.com/hudson-chorale-holiday-season-concert \nFor further information\, please visit www.HudsonChorale.org or email us at info@hudsonchorale.org \nHudson Chorale is grateful to the New York State Council on the Arts\, the Westchester Community Foundation\, and Arts Westchester which awarded us funds to support our work and community outreach this year.
