DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce BridgeMusik Spring Festival 2023 (March 6 – May 1\, 2023). Our students will participate in masterclasses with renowned artists: Carol Wincenc (flute professor\, The Juilliard School)\, Jerry Grossman (principal cello\, The MET Opera) and Kurt Nikkanen (concertmaster\, NYC Ballet). Festival students will also be working with our wonderful team of regular and new faculty members! DESCRIPTION:Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra presents a gala concert featuring the winners of its 44th Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition.  These outstanding young musicians join the orchestra in an exciting and varied program led by guest conductor Stephen Huang. Repertoire extends from the Baroque to the Modern era\, with concertos by Bach\, Beethoven\, Grieg and Arutiunian\, along with Bizet’s brilliantly virtuosic Carmen Fantasy\, arranged for flute. The competition is open to students residing or studying in Westchester County and offers monetary prizes along with the chance to perform with the orchestra\, playing a significant role in the development of these young performers careers.
