His unique musicianship has earned him numerous awards\, including being the 1st place recipient of the International Blues Challenge Award—Solo Division given out by the Blues Foundation in Memphis\, TN.  He has taught at Carnegie Hall and at the acclaimed Fur Peace Ranch guitar camp\, owned by Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane fame.\nWalker apprenticed and learned from legendary masters like R.L. DESCRIPTION:BROADWAY PERSPECTIVES: A CONCERT CELEBRATING DIVERSITY is a unique recognition of Black History Month. \nCreated exclusively for our venue by New York Casting Director/Producer Stephen DeAngelis\, five Broadway artists of color will celebrate their identity through their art by recreating their most memorable musical performances and honoring the icons that came before them. The evening will showcase musical selections from Hamilton; Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations; The Lion King; Ragtime; The Wiz; The Color Purple; Chicago; The Book of Mormon; The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess; Aida; Ain’t Misbehavin’ ; Smokey Joe’s Café; Show Boat; Five Guys Named Moe and more. The cast will display their versatility as well as share personal stories that enrich their narrative and provide new and exciting perspectives. Cast still being finalized and will be announced as added! \nJoin us as five of New York’s finest vocalists take to our stage in this special concert event which is certain to enlighten and entertain audience members of all ages.
