DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce BridgeMusik Spring Festival 2023 (March 6 – May 1\, 2023). Our students will participate in masterclasses with renowned artists: Carol Wincenc (flute professor\, The Juilliard School)\, Jerry Grossman (principal cello\, The MET Opera) and Kurt Nikkanen (concertmaster\, NYC Ballet). Festival students will also be working with our wonderful team of regular and new faculty members! There will be several live performances featuring our students\, faculty and guest artists.\n \nRegistration information and schedule of events can be found here.

DESCRIPTION:Pianist Pavlo Gintov has been described as “a poet of the keyboard” by\nMarty Lash of the Illinois Entertainer\, a “musical storyteller” by the\nJapanese publication Shikoku News\, and “a fantastic pianist and\nextraordinary artist” by Jerry Dubins of the Fanfare Magazine. He has\nplayed in venues world wide.\nA native of Ukraine\, Mr. Gintov graduated with honors from the Moscow State\nConservatory\, where he was a student of Lev Naumov and Daniil Kopylov. He\nholds a Doctor of Musical Art degree from the Manhattan School of Music in\nNew York City\, where he studied with Nina Svetlanova.\nWe are honored to present Mr. Gintov who will play some amazing piano\npieces.

He has also toured through Europe with Middle Eastern\nfusion groups Taksim and Transition. Currently\, he is the co-founder of the\nband “Particle Theory”\, a band in he describes as Jazz-grass fusion.\nGregg Terlizzi: the co-founder of the band “Particle Theory”. His early\nguitar influence was in rock music where he led two different groups “Sick\nand Tired” and “The Shredders”. In his early 20’s he discovered the sounds\nof jazz great Wes Montgomery\, which would later change his style of playing\nand composing. As his jazz roots grew so did his interest in bluegrass\nmusic. He began studying mandolin and listened to the masters such as Bill\nMonroe\, David Grisman\, and Sam Bush. His unique style and diverse\nbackground are the basis of the Particle Theory sound.\nArthur Toufayan\, heralding from a long line of Armenien heritage\, was first\nexposed to the style of Middle Eastern Music through his greatest\ninfluence\, his grandfather\, Artin Toufayan. At the age of 4\, Arthur began\nspending much of his time alongside his grandfather either at the famous\,\nfamily owned Toufayan Bakery or while he plucked the oud\, the short necked\,\nfretless 11 string lute like instrument. Drawn to the music\, Arthur began\ntaking guitar lessons at the age of 12 with interest in heavy metal then\neventually the Grateful Dead and the whimsical sounds of Jerry Garcia’s\nguitar. From there\, Arthur found himself engulfed in the styles of Django\nReinhardt\, Doc Watson\, Tony Rice\, Rick Neilson\, Eddie Van Halen\, Bob\nMarley\, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. He teamed up with John Siliato to form\nWigjam\, one of northern New Jersey’s original Grateful Dead Tribute Bands\nand soon after teamed up with Lee Baronian and Gregg Terlizzi to form the\nband Particle Theory. Both bands continue to play throughout the tri-state\narea.\nThis concert is Saturday\, March 11th\, 2023 at 7:30 pm.
