SUMMARY:Edward Hopper's Hudson River Boyhood and Emerging Artistic Vision
DESCRIPTION:Curated by Carole Perry and Kathleen Motes Bennewitz\, with Lynne Z. Together\, these objects provide a glimpse into Hopper’s early years\, the influence of his boyhood proximity to the busy waterfront and commercial district of his hometown\, and insights into his life at home and his family’s support of his developing talent and ambitions.\n$10 Non-Members\n$8 Seniors\nMembership checked at door\nExhibit runs from November 3\, 2022-March 26\, 2023 during the Hopper House’s regular hours\, which are as follows:\nThursdays 1pm-5pm\nFridays 1pm-5pm\nSaturdays 12pm-5pm\nSundays 12pm-5pm

SUMMARY:Winter Hiking 101
DESCRIPTION:West Mountain Guide Co will be in the shop to teach us how to enjoy the trails and stay safe in the colder months. Topics cover proper layering and gear considerations\, as well as nutrition to get the most out of winter hiking.\nCo-founders\, Lauren (trail name Woodchuck) and Henri (trail name Rooster) de la Vega are licensed New York State Outdoor Guides and long-distance backpackers. Together\, they have hiked the Appalachian Trail (2016)\, Pacific Crest Trail (2017)\, and the Continental Divide Trail (2021)\, with Henri also completing the Florida Trail (2022). The 15\,000 miles of thru-hiking they’ve experienced has fueled their desire to help others experience the backcountry.

We can’t wait to hear these beautiful works soar in this church.”\nIt is recommended that audience members be masked during the performance.\nTickets can be purchased for $25 each from members of the Hudson Chorale or on the Hudson Chorale website.
