SUMMARY:Nyack’s Famous Street Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning to our historic rivertown from 10am to 5pm on Sunday\, May 15\, 2022. Don’t miss this great family fun day where you will be sure to find something for everyone. Two hundred and fifty exhibitors with arts\, crafts\, new retail\, home deco and gifts will be participating at this shopping and dining event.  All types of festival foods will be available as well as Nyack’s many outdoor cafes and restaurants. Be sure to make a stop at the NY Soda Jerks for one of their old fashion soda or egg creams. \nAll day music will be played at the gazebo on Main Street and folk music on Broadway.  Be sure to mark your calendar for a day spent in picturesque Nyack. The fair is sponsored by ACADA of Nyack for over 50 years. \nFree Admission\, Held rain or shine. No Pets Please. Follow CDC current guide lines.

DESCRIPTION:Experience the Bird & Bottle Inn’s 260+ years of history during this Tavern Talk & Tour. \nJoin the Putnam History Museum at the newly opened and restored Bird & Bottle Inn\, 1123 Old Albany Post Rd\, Garrison\, NY\, on Sunday\, May 22nd\, from 5 pm – 7 pm. (Rain date\, Sunday\, June 5th) \nPHM Executive Director Cassie Ward will share with guests the history of the Bird & Bottle Inn by exploring historical themes related to the Inn and immediate surrounding area. Historical themes will include the Lenni Lenape use of the land\, the American Revolution and the Old Post Road\, 19th century transportation advancements\, and the early 20th century tourism boom in Putnam County. The program will continue with remarks on the restoration process by Bird & Bottle Inn owners Marjorie Tarter and Brendan McAlpine.
