Through informative workshops\, and networking opportunities\, The Peekskill Film Festival will also facilitate educational and career-oriented programming for students of film and filmmakers. We invite everyone to come out and support our homegrown talent and\, especially\, our youth in learning valuable tools in the art of filmmaking. DESCRIPTION:The Dobbs Ferry Road to Freedom Walk begins at 1:00pm at Gould Park\, Dobbs Ferry. It commemorates a turning point in the Revolutionary War when on August 19\, 1781\, the Continental Army under George Washington departed their encampment in our area to march 400 miles to attack the British army at Yorktown\, Virginia. The program continues at 2:00pm at the Mead House\, 12 Elm Street\, Dobbs Ferry. The Road to Freedom Walk is a program of the Dobbs Ferry Historical Society. DESCRIPTION:Save the date for our Revolution on the Hudson! Living History Experience on the waterfront in historic Tarrytown\, NY\, on October 22 from noon to 5 p.m. at Pierson Park. This family-friendly event is FREE. \nRevolution on the Hudson! will feature historical figures such as George Washington\, Benedict Arnold\, Major John André\, Benjamin Franklin\, and Patriot David Williams. Multiple military reenactor groups will be on-site\, including a cavalry unit\, the 2nd Continental Light Dragoons\, with several of their military horses\, and Alexander Hamilton’s militia unit\, Hearts of Oak. There will be craft demonstrators including blacksmithing\, demonstrations of Lenape technologies\, colonial-period music\, a military tent encampment and a marching/parade demonstration of more than 30 soldiers with musket firing. Theatrical performances will take place at intervals on the park’s outdoor stage—providing immersive\, entertaining\, and educational experiences.

DESCRIPTION:The Fall Fair – with its treasures\, bargains\, gifts for early Christmas shoppers\, crafts and games for children\, International Café and Bake Sale\, Clothing Closet and more – returns to Tarrytown on October 21 at Christ Church San Marcos\, 43 South Broadway at the corner of West Elizabeth Street.  The all-day event is from 10 am to 4 pm. \nThe festival at Tarrytown’s historic Christ Episcopal Church San Marcos is the church’s major annual fundraiser.  From a Boutique offering jewelry\, artwork\, trinkets and collectibles to the White Elephants bargain section\, to sports equipment\, and electronics\, there is something for everyone. \nChrist Church San Marcos\, founded in 1836\, evolves with the needs and interests of the local community. For many years\, the Community Food Pantry of Sleepy Hollow has been housed in the church hall. The church’s services to the community also include its Clothing Closet\, a scholarship fund for area youth to enroll in summer enrichment programs\, a series of Saturday night concerts\, and an annual Day of Defiant Hope social justice forum.

DESCRIPTION:Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Sleepy Hollow Music Festival\, June 8\, 2024 at Kingsland Point Park. \nOrganizers recently announced an inspiring line-up of internationally-touring bands and music festival standouts featuring headliners Cold War Kids\, whose 10th studio album – the self-titled Cold War Kids – debuted in November; Danielle Ponder\, whose debut album Some of Us Are Brave was released to wide acclaim in 2022; The Nightingale All-Stars\, featuring the legendary Blues Traveler frontman John Popper\, Jono Manson and special guests; and The Verve Pipe\, which has enjoyed multi-platinum success and released the album Threads in 2021. The festival will kick-off at midday with two local favorites\, Anthony Giaccio and the Assortments\, and Clare Maloney and the Great Adventure. \nSupport for the Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is provided by a Market New York grant awarded to the Village of Sleepy Hollow from I LOVE NY/New York State’s Division of Tourism through the Regional Economic Development Council initiative. \nThe Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is scheduled from 11:30am – 9:00pm in Kingsland Point Park\, on Saturday\, June 8\, 2024. Tickets to the full-day festival are now available with early bird pricing of $65. Up to two children 12 years-old and under can enter free with a ticket-holding adult.
