DESCRIPTION:Rockland BOCES Celebrity Chef Pop Up Restaurant Night\nA Culinary fundraising experience featuring a trifecta of chefs working together with the Rockland BOCES High School Culinary Team.\nRockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center Culinary Program is proud to partner with the following three chefs who have been contestants on Fox Television’s Hell’s Kitchen. They are excited to work alongside our high school Culinary students. This event will fund awards\, scholarships\, and the cost of competitions for our Culinary students and SkillsUSA members.\nEach Chef will showcase her culinary talent and style through a 5-course menu\, offering guests the opportunity to sample at least one course from each chef.\nGuest Chefs and their menu creations\nNikki Hanna\, Tara Ciannella\, and Alyssa Osinga\nThis menu is designed so each featured chef can showcase their unique style through 5 courses. They worked with our students to replicate these dishes allowing them as well our guests\, to enjoy an incredible culinary learning experience.\n$75 PP (There will be No Alcohol served or allowed on premises for consumption). SUMMARY:MUSIC AT SUGAR POND
DESCRIPTION:MUSIC AT SUGAR POND\, a new concert series featuring International Recording Artist \nAnnie Sumi with Hastings’ own Adam Hart opening. Adam will perform a set for kids big and small. \nFriday\, August 12th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM \nSugar Pond is an actual pond adjacent to Hillside Elementary School. \n  \nAlthough admission to the park is free\, your donations are graciously accepted. We ask that you donate $20 per family. Performers will receive 90% of the donations and the rest will cover production costs. Any remaining funds will be given to the Conservation Commission to support restoration efforts in Hastings-on-Hudson. \n  \nAnnie Sumi is an ethereal-folk artist from Canada. Her music is intimate and expansive\, inviting the listener into a familiar otherworld. Inspired by the mirrored relationship between physical and emotional landscapes\, Annie’s music speaks of the human experience through the language of the senses. She has been nominated as ‘Emerging Artist’\, ‘Female Vocalist\,’ and ‘Songwriter of the Year\,’ and her music is played on national (US and Canada) and international radio. It’s not just the beauty of her voice and her music\, not just the charm of her onstage presence that makes her something special. DESCRIPTION:Class 1: During this introduction to the cosmos\, we will be diving into what a natal chart is\, what a “Big Three” is\, characteristics of the 12 Zodiac Signs\, and 10 of the Planets/Luminaries that make up your chart! We will use examples from my chart to better understand how these placements may show up for someone. \nClass 2: On this journey into the stars\, we will look further into the natal chart\, discussing the 4 angles that split up the chart\, along with the descriptions of the first 6 houses! \nClass 3: We will blast off again into the last 6 houses of the natal chart\, completing all 12 houses of the zodiacal wheel. These last 6 houses get very deep\, so we will spend a lot of time discussing what they all mean\, and how they affect us. \nClass 4: Lastly\, we will dive into the North Node and South Node\, Chiron\, and astrology words and phrases that may help you understand the Astrological jargon better! During this session\, we will also be clearing up any questions you may have about the prior sessions. \n$40 Per Class.
