BIRDING 101- BASIC BIRDING TECHNIQUES, 7:30-9:30am, Audubon New York and Scenic Hudson are joining forces once again to offer a series of guided early morning walks focused on learning bird identification by sight and sound. Participants will observe spring migrants in a variety of habitats including uplands, tidal marsh, creek, and woodlands. Spring wildflowers will be popping up and identified as well. After each walk, coffee, snacks, and natural history discussions will be held at the observation tower. Dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and boots. Born in Memphis, Greenwood is obviously the leader of the group, as he plays the keyboard, guitar, sings, and acts as a DJ, songwriter, and producer. What's clear when you listen to Cope's music is that he is ordained. Or touched. Or blessed. Or however you want to say it: The man has the gift. Experts from the Saw Mill River chapter of the National Audubon Society will lead an early morning bird walk through the historic orchard and gardens, followed by a hearty, 18th-century-style breakfast and tour of the manor.
