We all know that red roses mean love, but in the 1800s there was a whole language of flowers to learn and enjoy. Dr. Mitchell, Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture at Yale University, talks about the historic language of flowers found in the Museum’s summer exhibitions and the décor of Glenview, the Museum’s Victorian home.
